yes we do
we responded to christopher from your company but our email got rejected
Hi, I thanks alot for the POE Hat, it realy works great cool stuff,
Q: Is there any way to access the I2C Pins (PIN3/5) to connect an RTC?
Q: Qo you consider to release a board including an Battery backed RTC ?
Q: What is the best way to use the POE board together with an other HAT?
pls do not expose my email the way you did with mr Martin Zeug
sorry about the email thing i will make sure i clear that, we are so glad you like that hat, i will try to answer your questions here, we are releasing a 2nd version within 2-3 weeks that will allow all pins to be used and another hat can be mounted easy on top, for now u can remove the connector and solder that hat directly then u can use the i2c pins as we only use the power pins, for a hat with rtc and bat it all depends on qty, if you need a 100 or more units of it we can design it for you.
Is the 2nd version out?
should be out in 2-3 weeks, it is almost the same, but will have an option to allow the reuse of all GPIO port pins, the current design will still be offered,
do you have any design requests ?
Have you thought about adding pwr up & dn functionality to your hat? The way I see this working (from an external pov) is that you would add a 3 pin connector to your hat: ~pwr_up, gnd, ~pwr_dn.
Among other things, this would allow two rpis to power cycle one another (with only a dual opto for isolation). (If you were feeling really nice, you could add layout on the hat for the opto to be hand soldered (or you could add the opto!) so that wiring could go directly from gpios on one rpi to connections on the hat connected to the other rpi.)
Also, what shipping method to Australia do you use?
very interesting idea, would you please explain more the need to that functionally if an application ?, is isolation required ?
We ship using USPS, but u can provide your own shipping label if you want.
Have you guys considered designing a sleek hat for the Pi Zero?
Explain more plz
Hi, I want to use the following components together: RasPi 3B+, official 7″ touch display, camera and nothing more (no WiFi, no Bluetooth, no other USB devices). Is your POE hat sufficient for that (I can solder the two power cables for the display directly without an connector directly)?
How long is the delivery time to germany? Or do you already have a distributor in germany?
Yes, our POE hat can power your system fine, you can connect the LCD power to the extra +5V / GND pads on the hat or the GPIO, depends on the shipping method Germany using USPS priority will take around 4-5 days, you may also use your own carrier account and send us a shipping label.
Hi, the ordered PoE hat is currently in customs clearance, where I have to pick it up. The officers there might ask for the CE sign, but as an engineer for electronics I should be able justify an import of unlabeled electronic components. Just to be prepared, is the working frequency of the switching power supply below 9 kHz (relevant ‘high’ frequency limit)? Or do you have any information about FCC conformity?
Hello, We still in the certification process and we are offering it as internal industrial none certificated pcb
the switching frequency is 350 Khz
Customs clearance released the PoE hat without problems. It works perfectly together with the official 7″ display. Additionally, I have disabled WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI, but the RasPi camera V2.1 is connected. No powering problems!
Great, Thank you for the feedback, we are glad you liked our PoE hat.
I have ordered 4x of your POE for my Raspberry Pi 3b+, and I am very excited. If they work for my application, I will need to buy 100 of them. I have a question, however: My application requires a bolt-on heatsink (not a stick-on heat sink).
Do you know of a bolt-on heat sink that is compatible with your POE product? Thank you so much,
Interesting idea, PoE might be able to mounted from the other-side of the Pi, please contact us directly on email@example.com for more help.
We have bought your PoE HAT for RPi. It works properly when we connect a regular PoE injector that operates on 120V ac input and produces 54V DC PoE output.
But the HAT doesn’t power up when we connect it to our hardware that generates equivalent PoE output voltage. Other PoE based products such as LCD display powers up correctly from our PoE supply so there is no issue with our supply.
What could be the root cause? Is there a possible device class identification issue?
Please note that IEEE 802.3af is not just a simple Power over Ethernet cable, there is a lot of detection and classification going on in the background to handle any short circuit or over current situation, so a real POE switch or injector must support that, if you just feed 48-54V to 802.3af device it will not work, it must support the protocol detection and classification, so you should power the hat from 802.3af complainant switch or injector, looks like injector is, here is a few makers who make IEEE 802.af switches, Cisco, Ubnt, netgear .. etc , please feel free to contact us via email or phone for further assistance
Where are instructions for use of the POE hat?
Please check this video
It works fine, gives me the ability to power cycle the Pi remotely because PoE, and is cheaper by half than the PoE Hat route. As well, I don t have to worry about additional thermal load on the Pi.
Just got your latest Pi4 compatible board.
On the Pi4B – 4Gb board, it looks like your PoE Hat could still be seated over the top of the two optional small non-CPU heatsinks.
Will the PoE HAT board be okay sitting on top of the small heatsinks?
Yes it should be okay
